–  1/2 cup of powdered sugar
– Chopped nuts (such as almonds, pistachios, or cashews) for garnish

Instructions:

1. Roast the Flour:
– Heat a heavy-bottomed pan or kadhai over medium-low heat.
– Add the ghee to the pan and let it melt.
– Once the ghee is melted, add the whole wheat flour (atta) to the pan.
– Stir continuously to ensure even roasting and prevent burning.

2. Roast Until Golden Brown:
– Continue roasting the flour in ghee until it turns golden brown and releases a nutty aroma. This process may take around 10-15 minutes.
– Keep stirring the flour constantly to prevent it from sticking to the bottom of the pan.

3. Add Sugar and Flavorings:
– After the flour has roasted until it turns golden brown, remove from the fire.
– Allow the mixture to cool slightly, then add the powdered sugar, ground cardamom, and saffron threads (if using).
– Mix well until all the ingredients are thoroughly combined.

4. Shape the Laddu:
– Allow the mixture to cool down until it is comfortable to handle but still warm.
– Take a small portion of the mixture in your hands and shape it into a smooth, round ball.
– Repeat this process with the remaining mixture to form all the laddus.

5. Garnish:
– If desired, garnish each Laddu with chopped nuts such as almonds, pistachios, or cashews.
– Press the nuts gently into the surface of each laddu to ensure they stick.

6. Serve or Store:
– Once all the Laddus are shaped and garnished, allow them to cool completely before serving.
– Store the Laddus in an airtight container at room temperature for up to one week.
