KSrelief Fosters Humanitarian Cooperation with European Commission DG ECHO

King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) Director of Partnerships and International Relations Hana Omar met with a delegation from the European Commission’s Directorate-General for European Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations (DG ECHO).

The meeting took place on Monday at KSrelief headquarters in Riyadh, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The participants discussed the bilateral cooperation and coordination to boost the humanitarian aid and relief and ways to deliver the aids to various countries around the world.

The European delegation commended the Kingdom’s pivotal role in the humanitarian field and its professional mechanism to deliver aid and relief and alleviate the sufferings of multiple communities.

One week ago, Dr. Hana Omar, met with Markus Werne, the director of the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs in Yemen.

Werne praised the Kingdom’s humanitarian and relief efforts in assisting vulnerable people in the Arab nation and around the world.

The officials commended Saudi Arabia’s relief projects and its pivotal role in alleviating the humanitarian crisis in Yemen.

Partnerships with Jordan

On July 4, (KSrelief) Supervisor General Dr. Abdullah Al Rabeeah visited the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC) in Amman, Jordan.

Al Rabeeah was accompanied by KHCC board of trustees’ chairperson Princess Ghida Talal and the Saudi ambassador to Jordan, and the non-resident ambassador-designate to the State of Palestine, Naif bin Bandar Al-Sudairi.

The visit was a valuable opportunity for Al Rabeeah to recognize the level of cancer care in Jordan and review the treatment, prevention, and awareness services provided to patients in Jordan and the Arab world.

KSrelief Signs an Agreement with KHCC to Treat Gaza Cancer Patients in Jordan

Furthermore, the visit marked the signing of a joint agreement between Dr. Al Rabeeah and Princess Ghida Talal to treat cancer patients from Gaza in Jordan.

With a cost of $3,615,800 million, the agreement will provide treatment for 150 individuals from the Strip.

Al Rabeeah stated that the agreement stands as a testament to the Kingdom’s commitment to providing medical support to cancer patients around the world.
