Saudi Arabia’s expanding air network is drawing the Red Sea closer to the world, transforming its pristine shores into a new luxurious destination.
Building on this momentum, Red Sea Global has announced the launch of scheduled flights connecting Abu Dhabi with Red Sea International Airport from October 4.
The new route will take flight from Zayed International Airport on Sunday, October 4, 2026, initially offering a weekly Sunday service.
Beginning October 25, the connection will increasingly expand to twice-weekly flights, operating every Thursday and Sunday.
Flight timings

The new connection joins a rapidly expanding network at Red Sea International Airport, which currently handles approximately 20 domestic and international flights each week, linking the destination with Riyadh, Jeddah, Dubai, Doha, and Milan.
This growing connectivity has been developed with the support of the General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) and the Saudi Air Connectivity Program, in collaboration with airport operator daa International.
According to John Pagano, Group CEO of Red Sea Global, the partnership with Etihad Airways represents a remarkable milestone toward enhancing the destination’s accessibility.
He noted that broadening international air connectivity will further connect the Red Sea with one of the world’s leading airline networks.
From its islands and coastlines to its sweeping desert landscapes, the Red Sea features an extraordinary array of luxury tourism offering.
The destination currently hosts 11 operating resorts, among them Six Senses Southern Dunes, Nujuma, a Ritz-Carlton Reserve, and Four Seasons Resort and Residences Red Sea, while six additional resorts on the horizon in the coming months.
