ACP: Saudi Arabia Seeks New Airline Partnerships at Routes World 2026

Expanding international air connectivity has become a critical part of Saudi Arabia’s efforts to strengthen its tourism sector and reach new visitor markets.

Against this backdrop, the Air Connectivity Program (ACP) concluded its participation in Routes World 2026, held in Frankfurt, Germany, from October 21 to 23, with a delegation led by CEO Ahmed Al-Brahim.

Expanding Global Air Links

The discussions explored how to turn international partnerships into new air links that could make Saudi Arabia more accessible to overseas visitors.

During the event, the ACP delegation held more than 65 meetings with airlines and international partners to discuss route-development opportunities and reinforce connections with targeted tourism markets.

Remarkably, the Red Sea destination offers a practical example of how air connectivity can support the development of emerging tourism markets.

In separate discussions with Red Sea International Airport, the ACP explored opportunities to strengthen access to the destination, with plans to attract new airlines and introduce additional routes linking it to international markets in 2027.

Ultimately, these efforts aim to facilitate international visitor access and support inbound tourism growth.

How Does Air Connectivity Support Tourism?

The program’s participation in the event reflects its broader role in Saudi Arabia’s tourism strategy, where stronger airline partnerships and an expanded international route network can help improve access to the Kingdom’s destinations.

By pursuing these connections, the ACP supports the objectives of the National Tourism Strategy and Saudi Vision 2030, which seek to strengthen Saudi Arabia’s position in the global tourism market.

Established in 2021, the Air Connectivity Program serves as a link between Saudi Arabia’s aviation and tourism ambitions.

As an executive enabler of both the National Tourism Strategy and the National Aviation Strategy, the program works to strengthen the Kingdom’s air connections with international markets, supporting tourism growth by making its destinations more accessible to overseas visitors.

Turning Aviation Talks into New Routes

Routes World serves as a major international platform for negotiating new air services, bringing airlines, airports, and tourism organizations together to explore route-development opportunities.

The event provides a setting for destinations such as Saudi Arabia to engage with airlines and explore connections that could improve access for international travelers.
