The Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA) to boost medical cooperation.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the MoU aims particularly to foster the Saudi-Chinese cooperation in medicines, medical devices, and cosmetics.
Signed at the NMPA headquarters, the partnership will provide a valuable opportunity to exchange laws, regulations, regulatory experiences and best practices.
The signing ceremony highlighted the participation of the Chief Executive Officer of the SFDA, Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, and the Commissioner of the NMPA, Li Li.
Moreover, it featured the presence of Saudi Ambassador to China Abdulrahman Al-Harbi.
In signing such deals, SFDA is not only enhancing its regional and international partnerships, but also fostering its international presence and significance.
The MoU is part of SFDA CEO’s visit to China, where he leads the Saudi delegation at the 8th Shenzhen Food Safety Forum.
Moreover, the visit centers around a promising MoU with China’s National Medical Products Administration (NMPA).
Such visits and meetings stand as a testament to SFDA’s commitment to bolstering Saudi-Chinese coordination and elevating the Kingdom’s public health.
