The Kingdom is the first stop in Sharif’s four-day diplomatic tour from April 15-18, which will also include Qatar and Türkiye, according to the Pakistani Foreign Ministry.
In a statement, the Ministry said that his visit to Saudi Arabia and Qatar comes “in the bilateral context,” during which he will meet the leadership of both countries to discuss bilateral cooperation as well as regional peace and security.
Meanwhile, Sharif will take part in the Fifth Antalya Diplomacy Forum during his visit to Türkiye. Furthermore, he will hold bilateral meetings with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan and other key world leaders on the sidelines of the forum.

The Pakistani Prime Minister’s visit comes amid heightened regional tensions fueled by the US-Israeli war with Iran. Over the weekend, Islamabad hosted the first face-to-face talks in decades between the US and Iran to negotiate a permanent end to hostilities before a two-week ceasefire expires on April 21.
While the talks did not yield a breakthrough, the Pakistani capital is expected to host another round over the next few days.
