Pakistan Military Units Arrive in Saudi Arabia Under Strategic Defense Pact
Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Defense announced on Saturday that Pakistani military units, including fighter jets and support aircraft, have arrived in Saudi Arabia as part of a strategic defense agreement between the two countries, according to the Saudi Gazette.
The ministry added that the military force from the Islamic Republic of Pakistan has landed on King Abdulaziz Air Base in the Eastern Sector.
The force, consisting of fighter and support aircraft from the Pakistan Air Force, seeks to foster joint military coordination and raise operational readiness between the Saudi and Pakistani armed forces.
The ministry also noted that this initiative further boosts regional and international security and stability.
Interestingly, this military cooperation comes as part of both countries’ efforts to reinforce operational readiness and elevate joint defense capabilities through the exchange of expertise, as well as the implementation of joint programs and military exercises.
In September 2025, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan signed the Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement, which underscores that “any aggression against either country shall be considered an aggression against both.”
