Medina Health Cluster has allocated a kidney dialysis hall for pilgrims with Kidney Dialysis to provide seamless medical services during Hajj 2024, reported Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The Kidney Center at King Fahd Hospital has fully equipped a kidney dialysis hall containing all medical services and headed by professional and qualified doctors and nurses.
With 11 devices, the hall is ready to carry out 22 dialysis sessions per day.
The sessions are available for those pilgrims who have their medical reports proving that they are in need to dialysis sessions. The medical missions shall submit these reports upon their arrival in Medina.
They indicated that the medical teams have taken care of 106 pilgrims with kidney dialysis since the beginning of this Hajj season.
Saudi Medical Teams Serve Pilgrims
Furthermore, Madinah Cardiac Center has recently saved the life of the Indonesian pilgrim (in his 60s) who arrived at the center’s emergency department after suffering a severe chest pain.
Doctors examined the patient, conducted several medical tests and immediately decided to perform a diagnostic catheterization which revealed a severe blockage in all three coronary arteries.
After a successful operation, the center transferred the pilgrim to the intensive care unit to resume his treatment plan.
Upon the completion of follow-up and rehabilitation, the pilgrim was discharged from the center in good health to continue his Hajj rituals.
Moreover, King Abdullah Medical City in Makkah has saved the life of an elderly Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrim who suffered a severe heart attack before an immediate transfer to the center.
Makkah Health Cluster announced that the Bangladeshi pilgrim had a severe chest pain, and the medical team conducted a cardiac catheterization and installed a stent within 45 minutes.
The patient’s health improved, and the doctors followed up to ensure his full recovery.
