World Pool Championship Kicks off in Saudi Arabia

The World Pool Championship (Nine ball) kicked off in its first edition in Saudi Arabia, yesterday, Monday, reported Ajel.SA

The Saudi Arabian Billiard and Snooker Federation organized the championship under the supervision of the Ministry of Sport. The six-day championship is held in Prince Abdullah Al-Faisal Sports City.

128 players representing 45 countries around the world are competing, including the best 100 players from the World Billiards Tour, in addition to the 28 finalists from the qualifying stage.

The players will compete in 223 matches on 16 tables, in the most famous event in the world of billiards, and the one with the highest level turn out.

This championship also contributes to achieving the sports goals of Saudi Vision 2030 through the sports industry and contribution to the growth of the Kingdom’s economy,

Saudi Arabia has been achieving goals in pool world. Saudi player Joud Bukhari, won the bronze medal in the 9Ball Ladies and Girls competition of the Asian Confederation of Billiard Sports (ACBS), reported  Alriyadh newsletter.

12 teams participated in the competition, which took place in Saudi capital, Riyadh, from April 21 to 25.
