Egypt’s Minister of Culture Meets Mr. Turki Al Sheikh

Dr. Nevine El-Kilany, Egypt’s Minister of Culture, met with Mr. Turki Al Sheikh, the head of the Saudi Entertainment Authority.

They discussed cooperation avenues in the presence of Osama Nugali, the Saudi Ambassador to Cairo, and Amr El-Feki, CEO and Managing Director of the United Media Services Company.

Warm Welcome

At the meeting’s start, Dr. El-Kilany warmly welcomed Mr. Al Sheikh in Cairo. She highlighted the deep-rooted relations between the two countries. She added that the meeting focused on supporting joint cooperation in various fields, including theater, cinema, and music. This cooperation involves a tripartite partnership among the Ministry of Culture, the Entertainment Authority, and the United Media Services Company.

Commitment to Collaboration

Mr. Al Sheikh expressed his eagerness to strengthen ties with Egypt’s Ministry of Culture. He proposed an activity program that includes theatrical performances with Egyptian scripts and music concerts in Cairo and Riyadh.

He also mentioned that the Riyadh Season heavily relies on Egyptian artists and technicians for performances, direction, and music, featuring prominent Egyptian artists.
