Al-Rajhi Heads KSA’s Delegation to Abu Dhabi Dialogue

Engineer Ahmed bin Sulaiman Al-Rajhi, the Minister of Human Resources and Social Development, led KSA’s delegation at the 7th Abu Dhabi Dialogue Consultative Ministerial Meeting. The meeting was held on February 10-11 in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The meeting was between sending and receiving Asian countries for labor.

The meeting saw the participation of 16 Gulf and Asian countries. Besides, several international organizations, private sector institutions, and civil society participated in the event. During the consultative ministerial meeting, participants reviewed the Professional Accreditation Initiative.

Moreover, the meeting addressed lessons to improve regional cooperation among Abu Dhabi Dialogue member countries in tackling labor market challenges.

Al-Rajhi Announcements in Abu Dhabi Dialogue Meeting

Minister Al-Rajhi highlighted the Kingdom’s efforts in enhancing cooperation between sending and receiving Asian countries for labor.

Moreover, he highlighted KSA’s efforts in exchanging experiences, and best practices, contributing to supporting labor market economies, skill development, and adapting to future changes.

Al-Rajhi’s Meetings

Minister Al-Rajhi met with Shafiqur Chowdhury, Minister of Expatriates Welfare and Overseas Employment, Republic of Bangladesh. He also met the Minister of Labour, Employment, and Social Security, Republic of Nepal.

During the meeting, areas of cooperation between the two friendly countries were discussed. Furthermore, they talked about the exchange of qualitative experiences and reviewed KSA’s efforts and initiatives to enhance the labor system in line with Vision 2030.

KSA’s Previous Efforts in Supporting Labor Market

KSA always supports the labor market to enhance the economy. For example, last year, in December, Al-Rajhi inaugurated the first International Conference on the Labor Market.

The conference aimed to provide a unique platform for knowledge exchange and showcase innovative experiences and practices by experts in the field.

Moreover, it aimed to formulate implementable insights addressing labor market challenges and devising global collaborative solutions.

The conference also focused on enhancing the international community’s capacity to meet market needs, where supply meets demand with the workforce.
