Ivorian Hajj Pilgrims Applaud Makkah Route Initiative

Ivorian pilgrims have commended Makkah Route Initiative for its contribution to facilitating all Hajj procedures at Félix-Houphouët-Boigny International Airport, reported Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

Cote d’Ivoire’s pilgrims have expressed their sincere appreciation to the Kingdom for providing pilgrims with smooth and seamless services.

Prince Mohammed bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Medina has recently welcomed the Ivorian pilgrims and facilitated their entry procedures.

According to the initiative, pilgrims can complete all necessary procedures, including electronic visa issuance, biometric data collection, and airport departure checks in their home country.

Therefore, pilgrims do not have to worry about their luggage. Saudi Authorities will directly transfer it to their places of residence in Mecca and Madinah.

Launched in 2017 as part of Vision 2030, the initiative marked a revolutionary program aimed at enhancing the pilgrimage experience for guests of Allah from Pakistan, Malaysia, Indonesia, Morocco, Bangladesh, Turkey, and the Ivory Coast.

The initiative has served 617,756 pilgrims in collaboration with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Health, Hajj and Umrah, and Information, the General Authority of Civil Aviation, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), and the Guests of God Service Program.

Furthermore, the Saudi General Directorate of Passports has recently announced that the Kingdom welcomed a total of 532,958 pilgrims as of Sunday.
