The first flights of the Indonesian pilgrims have departed from Adi Soemarmo International Airport in Solo to perform the pilgrimage through Makkah Route Initiative, reported Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport prepares to welcome the Indonesian pilgrims.
The Saudi authorities promise to provide all the pilgrims with the finest services from the moment pilgrims arrive in the Kingdom, on their way to the holy sites, and until they return to their home countries.
The Indonesian flights are part of Makkah Route Initiative, launched by the Ministry of Interior to achieve the goals of the Saudi Vision 2030.
According to the initiative, pilgrims can complete all necessary procedures, including electronic visa issuance, biometric data collection, and airport departure checks in their home country.
The initiative has served 617,756 pilgrims, since its launch in 2017, in collaboration with the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Health, Hajj and Umrah, and Information, the General Authority of Civil Aviation, the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority, the Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA), and the Guests of God Service Program.
