Video: AI-Enabled “Flying Car” Draws Crowds at LEAP 2026, Priced from 750,000 Riyals
A prototype “flying car” became one of the standout attractions at LEAP 2026 in Riyadh, where a specialist company unveiled its AFC 360 model as a glimpse of an AI-driven future for air mobility and autonomous passenger transport. The company says prices for such vehicles start at around 750,000 riyals.
Mohammed Azim, the company’s Chief Information Officer, told Sabq that the exhibit is one of its flying-car solutions and that showcasing it at LEAP 2026 is intended to introduce the technology to the Saudi market, which he described as a “new revolution” in mobility.
Fully Autonomous, AI-Guided Flights
According to Azim, the AFC 360 relies on artificial intelligence to operate autonomously: passengers simply select their destination, and the vehicle handles take-off, navigation and landing without manual control.
He said the prototype can fly for up to 30 minutes on a single charge, while a swappable battery system allows a battery change in about two minutes, minimizing downtime and improving operational efficiency in target environments.
3 Variants, Wider Use Cases
The company is developing three variants of the flying car: a single-seat model, plus two- and six-seat versions, to cover different needs in light air transport. Beyond private use, Azim outlined potential applications in emergency medical services, police and security operations, and urban “air taxi” networks, subject to the necessary regulatory and operational approvals.
Saudi Arabia as Manufacturing Target
Azim said the company aspires to see the technology deployed in Saudi Arabia and is exploring local manufacturing as part of its expansion plans, aligning with the Kingdom’s rapid technological transformation under Saudi Vision 2030.

The flying car’s presence at LEAP 2026 sits within a broader showcase of AI and future mobility innovations, turning the prototype into a prompt for wider debate on urban transport: could the sky become a routine commuting layer in cities?
Now in its fifth edition, LEAP 2026 runs for four days at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center in Malham under the theme “Into New Worlds.” Organized by the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology, the Saudi Federation for Cybersecurity, Programming and Drones, and Tahaluf—backed by Informa and the Events Investment Fund—the event features 16 stages and more than 20 content tracks, plus new zones covering AI, advanced computing, mobility, gaming and sports, and emerging technologies.
