In Photos: Pakistani, Indonesian Pilgrims Arrive at Saudi Arabia for Hajj Season 2024
The first batches of pilgrims from several countries started to arrive in Saudi Arabia to perform the annual Islamic pilgrimage. Since Thursday, Saudi airports have welcomed pilgrims from India, Turkey, Thailand, and Bangladesh. Other flights from several countries are anticipated to arrive at the Kingdom during the coming days.
Today, Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport has welcomed Pakistani Pilgrims. Concurrently, the airport is preparing to receive the Indonesian pilgrims.
Pakistani pilgrims
Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah has welcomed the first flights of the Pakistani pilgrims for Hajj pilgrimage 2024.
The airport has warmly welcomed a total of 2,160 pilgrims from various major cities of Pakistan.
The Saudi authorities have facilitated all entry procedures to help the pilgrims complete their spiritual journey and return back to their homelands with smooth and fulfilling Hajj experience.
Indonesian pilgrims
The first flight of Indonesian pilgrims has already left Indonesia heading to Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah to perform the Islamic pilgrimage.
This flight carries the first pilgrims benefiting from the Makkah Route Initiative, aiming at providing visitors of the holy sites with the best possible services to help them perform their Hajj rituals easily and comfortably.
According to the initiative, pilgrims can complete all necessary procedures, including electronic visa issuance, biometric data collection, and airport departure checks in their home country.
The Indonesian pilgrims have departed from Soekarno-Hatta International Airport and received warm farewell from the Saudi Ambassador to Indonesia, Faisal bin Abdullah Al-Amoudi, and Indonesia’s Minister of Religious Affairs, Yaqut Cholil Qoumas.
Furthermore, Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport is anticipated to welcome other Indonesian pilgrims who have already departed from Juanda International Airport in Surabaya City.
