Saudi Arabia, Ghana Cooperate in Agriculture, Food Security

Saudi Arabia and Ghana agreed to support and develop bilateral relations in all fields. Both countries aim to increase investment opportunities in the fields of agriculture, food security, fisheries, and livestock.

The Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Engineer Abdul Rahman bin Abdul Mohsen Al-Fadhli met the Minister of Food and Agriculture of the Republic of Ghana, at the conclusion of his tour of a number of African countries.

The Minister’s tour comes within the framework of developing relations and enhancing ways of joint cooperation between the Kingdom and African countries.

The meeting discussed aspects of joint cooperation between the Kingdom and Ghana, and reviewed investment opportunities in the fields of agriculture, livestock, and food manufacturing. Moreover, The two sides agreed to facilitate the work of investors in the two countries.

Minister Al-Fadhli’s African tour included: “Senegal, Côte d’Ivoire, Nigeria, and Ghana.” It comes within the framework of activating the outcomes of the recent Saudi-African summit. This also will improve the strategic partnership between the Kingdom and those countries in accordance with common interests.

It is noteworthy that Saudi-African relations are witnessing rapid growth, and there is a great desire on both sides to strengthen and develop them through interest at the leadership level in developing bilateral relations, in addition to increasing investment opportunities in all fields.
