King Abdulaziz Univ. Concludes ‘Made by My Hands’ Event

King Abdul Aziz University’s exhibition entitled “Made by My Hands“, in its seventeenth iteration, came to an end. It was a significant event.

The exhibition focused on empowering entrepreneurs with small projects and providing a platform for marketing their innovative products.

Event Conclusion, Remarkable Attendance

This year’s event successfully attracted an impressive crowd of 33,518 attendees, showcasing the community’s interest and support for local entrepreneurs.

Moreover, the five-day event was held at the King Faisal Conference Center, marking a notable achievement in fostering spirit among students.

Diverse Participation, Nationwide Impact

A diverse array of 114 projects were displayed across various categories, demonstrating the creativity and entrepreneurial skills of 150 students.

Additionally, these students, representing small entrepreneurs from across Saudi universities, showcased projects ready to make their mark in the job market.

Moreover, the exhibition’s primary goal was to enhance the quality of local products through high-quality national manufacturing.

By doing so, it aimed to significantly boost the contribution of small and medium-sized enterprises to the Kingdom’s GDP, thereby strengthening the national economy.

The exhibition was a holistic event with various educational and entertaining activities. Participants and visitors enjoyed the “Social Innovation Datathon,” sports and theatrical performances, short film screenings, and several competitions.

Dr. Mohand bin Ghazi Abed, the Dean of Student Affairs, highlighted the exhibition’s objective to motivate students to present their innovative projects to a broader audience. Also, the initiative seeks to widen the marketing reach for their products, thereby enhancing societal trust in the capabilities of the youth.

Creating Opportunities for Future Innovators

Consequently, Dr. Nadia bint Alam Qurban, the Deputy Dean of Student Affairs for Female Students, reiterated the exhibition’s critical role in carving out opportunities for creative minds and project owners. The exhibition also plays a crucial part in driving the economy forward.

Moreover, “Made by My Hands” exhibition stands as the culminating phase in the licensing process for small projects, preceded by several stages of training and development.
