Jouf Secures Two Guinness World Records Certificates for Organic Olive Farms
Jouf Governor Prince Faisal bin Nawaf bin Abdulaziz has commended Saudi Arabia’s leaders and the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture for elevating Jouf’s thriving economy and accelerated growth.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Governor’s remarks came during a prestigious ceremony celebrating the region’s accomplishments.
Guinness World Records representative Kenzi Al-Dafrawi has presented two certificates to Mazen Badawood, CEO of the Al-Jouf Agricultural Development Co.
The certificates honored the company for owning the world’s largest and most modern organic olive farm.
“We take pride in the national accomplishments that the Kingdom’s Vision 2023 has realized in promoting self-sufficiency and achieving food security,” Prince Faisal said.
Crucially, the ceremony coincided with Organic Food Day on November 11, in which the Kingdom highlighted the most significant achievements across the regions.
In line with the Saudi Vision 2030, the Day aims basically to offer people more healthy dietary choices to adopt a healthy lifestyle. Moreover, it mirrors the Kingdom’s efforts to achieve sustainable food security.
Currently, the government encourages farmers to adopt organic farming practices and educate consumers. Furthermore, it plays a pivotal role to boost resource sustainability and local production.
