Saudi National Day 2024: Diriyah Sets Guinness World Record with AI Show
Diriyah has set a new Guinness World Record for the largest display of artificial-intelligence assistant devices on Saudi Arabia’s 94th National Day, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The smart orchestra consisted of more than 500 Echo devices and Alexa voice assistants that harmonized the Saudi national anthem and other patriotic songs at Bujairi Terrace.
“Congratulations on achieving the Guinness World Records title for the largest display of virtual assistant devices,” said Kanzy El-Defrawy, the Guinness World Records’ senior adjudicator.
El-Defrawy added that Diriyah has been committed to bringing cutting-edge entertainment to the heart of Saudi Arabia, and the current achievement depicts its dedication to integrating artificial intelligence with cultural celebrations.
“This historic moment underscores Saudi Arabia’s innovative spirit and Diriyah’s commitment to preserving and promoting our rich heritage and culture,” The DGDA’s chief executive Jerry Inzerillo said.
Raf Fatani, Amazon’s regional general manager of Alexa in the Middle East and North Africa, noted that the attempt to set a world record was a celebration of their deep appreciation for the Kingdom’s rich culture and heritage.
“Through this collaboration, we weave a tapestry that intertwines artificial intelligence with the timeless threads of Saudi culture,” Fatani added.
