The Saudi Ports Authority (Mawani) has announced that Jeddah Islamic Port welcomed the first batch of Sudanese hajj pilgrims today, reported Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Jeddah Islamic Port has safely received the first ship of Sudanese pilgrims who will perform the fifth pillar of Islam this year.
Mawani stated that the port is currently providing a vast array of logistic services designed to facilitate the arrival and departure procedures for pilgrims.
Moreover, the authority has ensured the easy arrival of various goods to local markets during the Hajj season 2024.
Mawani pointed out that marine services play a crucial role in ensuring safe and easy journey for pilgrims. Such services include a marine control tower, marine pilotage, marine tugs, a passenger hall, and a special sidewalk for livestock.
Anticipating record-breaking numbers of pilgrims, the Saudi government and private sector agencies are currently collaborating in the operational plans to ensure the comfort and satisfaction of the pilgrims in and around Mecca.
The Presidency of Religious Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has recently unveiled the operational plan for the Hajj season of 1445H. The plan is mainly focused on enriching the religious experience by launching 120 religious enrichment initiatives during 2024 season.
Furthermore, the Presidency has also approved the launch of 1,000 Quran memorization programs to spread Quran’s morals and moderate messages across the world.
