The National Research and Development Center for Sustainable Agriculture (Estidamah) has signed a strategic agreement with NEOM Food Company TOPIAN to elevate the greenhouse management and operations.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the agreement will offer training programs designed basically to boost professional and practical skills in greenhouse operations across the Kingdom.
The agreement was an integral part of the Greenhouse Crop Management program organized by Estidamah.
The four-week program aimed to develop the expertise and knowledge of farmers and specialists empowering them to adopt the best sustainable agricultural practices in line with the Saudi Vision 2030.
In collaboration with TOPIAN and the Dutch Greenhouse Delta (DGD), the program featured various workshops, sessions, and practical applications.
Therefore, the event focused on 11 key areas including the development of the agricultural value chain and the increase of greenhouse crop productivity.
Moreover, the participants discussed the management of integrated pest control, plant physiology, agricultural data analysis, and vertical farming.
In the light of this, the program attracted various groups, including farmers, experts, agricultural sector specialists, investors, agricultural companies, students, trainees, and fresh graduates.
The program serves as a catalyst for participants to adopt modern agricultural practices in greenhouse management.
Thus, it significantly paves the way for a more sustainable agricultural future.
