Arab League Condemns Ongoing Israeli Actions in Palestine

The Arab League Council condemned the US veto on Palestine’s UN membership, urging a review of biased positions favoring Israeli occupation, hindering peace, the two-state solution, and Palestinian rights, notably self-determination and independence. The League of Arab States strongly condemned ongoing Israeli aggression and genocide against Palestinians.

This resolution was issued at the conclusion of extraordinary session of the League Council, chaired by Mauritania, titled “Israeli Aggression Against Palestinians and the American Veto in the Security Council.

The Council warned of the danger of the Israeli occupation army invading Rafah, adding to Israeli aggression’s heinous crimes against Palestinians.

The League Council urged the Security Council to enforce a Chapter Seven decision for Israel to comply with the ceasefire, allow humanitarian aid and cease aggression against Palestinians, as mandated by the UN Charter.

Council Actions for Peace

The Council strongly condemned ongoing Israeli aggression in the occupied West Bank. It urged the US and EU countries to halt weapon and ammunition exports to Israel.

The Council called on countries yet to recognize Palestine to do so swiftly to promote peace and regional/global security. It also urged independent investigations into mass graves found at Shifa and Nasser medical complexes in Gaza.

The Council tasked Arab Ambassadors and League missions to work with host countries’ foreign affairs ministries to implement the decision. It also instructed the Arab League Secretary-General to monitor implementation and report back at the next session.
