250 Projects from 81 Countries Advance to Entrepreneurship World Cup Finals in Riyadh

A total of 250 entrepreneurial ventures from 81 countries have advanced to the Entrepreneurship World Cup’s virtual bootcamp, organized in collaboration with Esade Ramon Llull University.

The selected projects span various development stages: 9% are in the idea phase, 51% in the seed stage, and 40% in the growth stage. Remarkably, 12% focus on space technology, reflecting a growing wave of innovation in emerging sectors worldwide.

Entrepreneurship World Cup

The global finals will take place in Riyadh, hosted by the Small and Medium Enterprises General Authority (Monsha’at) in partnership with the Mohammed bin Salman Foundation (Misk) and the Global Entrepreneurship Network. This underscores Saudi Arabia’s expanding reputation as a global innovation and entrepreneurship hub.

The three-day bootcamp will feature theoretical and hands-on sessions, 20 specialized workshops, and opportunities for participants to meet with over five local and international investors. Entrepreneurs will also connect with nine organizations within Saudi Arabia’s entrepreneurship ecosystem. Following the bootcamp, 100 projects will move forward to compete in the global finals during the Biban Forum in Riyadh.

This year’s competition attracted record-breaking interest, with over 10,000 businesses from 169 countries applying—double last year’s participation.

As the world’s largest competition of its kind, the Entrepreneurship World Cup will bring the top 100 startups to Riyadh to vie for cash prizes exceeding $1.5 million, alongside investment prospects and strategic partnerships. Hosting this prestigious event further cements Riyadh’s status as a leading global center for innovation and entrepreneurial growth.
