SDAIA Invites People to Participate in BCR Guidelines for Personal Data Transfer
The Saudi Data and Artificial Intelligence Authority (SDAIA) has invited the public and stakeholders to express their views on the Guidelines for Binding Common Rules (BCR) for Personal Data Transfer, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
SDAIA indicated that people can share their viewpoints through the National Competitiveness Center’s Public Consultation Platform (Istitlaa), before the end of August 30, 2024.
The guideline aims to establish a mechanism for preparing binding common rules that govern the transfer of personal data outside the Kingdom to countries or international organizations which lack the suitable adequate data protection.
The initiative stands as a testament to SDAIA’s commitment to ensuring that the level of protection of personal data outside the Kingdom is no less than the level of protection outlined by the Personal Data Protection System.
Stakeholders can participate in the survey via the following link: https://istitlaa.ncc.gov.sa/ar/Transportation/NDMO/BCR/Pages/default.aspx
