Syrian Artist Showcases 51 Masterpieces in Riyadh
Syrian artist Ahmed Elias, made a profound statement with his exhibition in Riyadh.
Titled “Stations and Rhythms,” the show features 51 masterpieces, each a vivid expression of Elias’ connection to Syria.
Through his art, he channels his feelings about his homeland’s beauty and suffering.

This exhibition, held at the Mahed Alfonon Gallery in Almousa Center, extends until November 30. Remarkably, it marks Elias’ first solo showcase since 2005. Furthermore, this significant event distinctively presents a blend of abstract and expressive art.
Additionally, it effectively narrates the Syrian experience, profoundly impacting both the artist and the broader art world.
Reflection of Hope, Despair
One notable painting, “Anemones will bloom from the blood of innocents and martyrs with the dawning of a new day,” exemplifies Elias’ artistic vision. It features bright mosaics, skulls, and a centrally blooming flower, symbolizing hope amid despair.
This poignant piece captures the essence of resilience and the unyielding spirit of the Syrian people.
