CEO of the Saudi Food and Drug Authority (SFDA) Dr. Hisham S. Aljadhey, has met with Indian Minister of Industry and Commerce Shri Piyush Goyal in New Delhi.
According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the meeting basically revolved around the bilateral relations and various issues of mutual concern.
Both officials discussed the potential Saudi-Indian cooperation in various areas including food, medicine, and medical devices and supplies.
SFDA CEO stressed that the current cooperation represents a significant milestone toward aligning regulatory frameworks with international standards.
Moreover, Aljadhey noted that such a step is very crucial to ensure the safety, efficacy, and quality of pharmaceutical preparations worldwide.
The meeting is part of the CEO’s official visit to India to participate in the 19th Annual Meeting of the International Conference of Drug Regulatory Authorities.
