KSA to Host 7.5 Mln Indian Travelers by 2030
The Chief Market Officer at the Saudi Tourism Authority for the Asia-Pacific region, Alhasan Aldabbagh, in an exclusive interview conducted by the Indian newspaper “India Today,” stated that the Kingdom expects to host 7.5 million Indian travelers by 2030, from various business, leisure, and religious sectors. In addition, it will host many musical concerts and global sporting events that attract tourists from around the world, reported News 24.
Saudi-Indian Relations
The Republic of India is considered the second largest trading partner of the Kingdom. The value of non-oil exports to India reached 30.5 billion Riyals during the year 2022.
The value of non-oil imports amounted to 34.4 billion Riyals, and the trade balance volume for the Kingdom reached 3.9 billion Riyals during the same year. Moreover, more than 400 Indian companies operate inside Saudi Arabia, and about 40 Saudi companies operate in India.
Ways of Cooperation
Last December, his Royal Highness Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia Mohammed bin Salman and the Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi had a phone conversation.
Bilateral Strategic Partnership
According to the Saudi Foreign Ministry, the conversation included a review of the bilateral strategic partnership. This followed the Saudi Crown Prince‘s state visit to India. The visit, significantly, marked a milestone in their relationship. They also discussed ongoing projects and future collaborative initiatives. This partnership, basically, aims to enhance economic, cultural, and technological ties between the two nations.
Concerns Over Regional Issues
The leaders expressed deep concerns over terrorism, violence, and civilian casualties in West Asia. They also emphasized the importance of regional stability. Discussions, significantly, highlighted the need for collaborative efforts to combat these challenges. Their goal is to foster a safer and more secure region.
