Saudi Team for Science and Engineering Collect 9 Special Awards to Make History in ISEF 2024
Saudi male and female students achieved 9 special awards during their participation in the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Exhibition “ISEF 2024”, which was held in Los Angeles, United States of America.
The exhibition took place from May 10 to 18, under the sponsorship of the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation “Mawhiba” for Giftedness and Creativity, and the Ministry of Education.

The special awards were won by: Jamal Muhammad Al-Loqmani in the field of materials science, Elias Maho Khan in biomedicine and health sciences, and Layan Al-Qarafi in the field of software systems.
Furthermore, Areej bint Abdullah Al-Qarni achieved two special awards in the field of materials science, Fatima Al-Khass in environmental engineering, and Lana Al Mazrouei in the field of cellular and molecular biology, Abeer Al-Yousef in chemistry, and Saleh Al-Anqari in the field of chemistry.
Dr. Amal bint Abdullah Al-Hazza, Secretary-General of the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity “Mawhiba,” affirmed that this victory highlights the collaborative efforts among Mawhiba, the Ministry of Education, and their strategic partners in realizing the objectives of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
She praised the outcomes of this partnership, evident in numerous international achievements, showcasing the Kingdom’s global standing effectively.
It is noteworthy that the Saudi Science and Engineering Team now has 50 prizes from the special prizes presented by companies to the team during the stages of its participation in ISEF.
The results of the major prizes are expected to be announced this Friday evening, Saudi time.
