Saudi Consul in Los Angeles, Cultural Attaché in US Inaugurate Mawhiba Expo at ISEF 2024

Yesterday, the Consul General of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia in Los Angeles, Bandar Al-Zaid, and the Cultural Attaché in the United States of America, Dr. Fawzi bin Abdul-Ghani Bukhari, opened the pavilion of the King Abdulaziz Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity “Mawhiba” at the Regeneron International Science and Engineering Fair “ISEF 2024” in Los Angeles, California.

The consul and the attaché listened to a detailed explanation of the components of the pavilion, which highlights Mawhiba’s efforts in discovering and nurturing talented people, and also underscores some Saudi cultural aspects by presenting a number of popular foods.

The Consul General and Cultural Attaché met the Saudi team members, motivating them before arbitration, expressing optimism for positive results reflecting Saudi Arabia’s status and the development of education, research, and innovation, supported by the Kingdom’s wise leadership.

This is the Kingdom’s 18th consecutive participation in the Intel ISEF exhibition, which began in 2007, as part of an annual program organized by the “Mawhiba” Foundation, in partnership with the Ministry of Education.

It is noteworthy that during the previous participations, Saudi students received 133 awards, including 92 major awards and 41 special awards. Before their participation in ISEF, they go through a long journey of training and qualification, through the Mawhiba programs that they receive throughout.  The training later enables them to reach the ultimate goal- advanced scientific and research level.
