The Saudi Olympic and Paralympic Committee announced its participation in the 33rd Summer Olympic Games in Paris from July 26 to August 11. They will send 10 athletes (male and female) competing in show jumping, taekwondo, athletics, and swimming.

The Kingdom is represented at the Olympics by the show jumping team which consists of riders Ramzi Al-Dahami, Abdullah Al-Sharbatli, Khaled Al-Mubti, and Abdul-Rahman Al-Rajhi, who snatched the qualification ticket for the Olympic Games after topping the seventh group qualifiers in the Doha International Show Jumping Championship last year.
In athletics, 23-year-old Mohammed Tolo is competing in the shot put for the first time after setting an Asian record at the Madrid Athletics Meet last June. His fellow jumper, Hussein Al Hazam, is also making his debut in the pole vault event, having earned 1252 points in the global rankings.
Saudi swimming
In swimming, 17-year-old Saudi national team player Mashael Al-Ayed is competing in the 200-meter freestyle, becoming the first Saudi woman to participate in the Olympic Games. Her colleague, 16-year-old Zaid Al-Sarraj, the youngest Saudi player in this edition, will compete in the 100-meter race.
The Kingdom’s participation in the current Olympic cycle has met many strategic goals, marked by high-quality participation and strong competition. The Saudi show jumping team, gold medalists at the Hangzhou Asian Games, is returning to the Olympic Games for the first time since London 2012.
