
Saudi citizens and residents will enjoy a long weekend this month in celebration of the Kingdom’s 94th Saudi National Day.
Observed every year on September 23, this holiday marks the unification of the Kingdoms of Najd and Hijaz by King Abdulaziz in 1932.

Saudi National Day
This year’s event will take place on a Monday, and with the Kingdom’s Friday-Saturday weekend. Some employees will have an extended holiday, including Sunday, September 22, off.
According to the academic calendar from the Ministry of Education, students will also have Sunday, September 22, as a day off for the occasion.

Kingdom’s transformative journey
Citizens and residents across the Kingdom will celebrate the holiday of Saudi National Day with various events, including performances and air force shows. Additionally, colorful parades featuring local musicians and folklore groups will fill major city streets.
Food festivals will offer a range of local cuisine, from street food to gourmet dishes. Families will gather in parks to enjoy dazzling firework displays. Historic landmarks will be illuminated to symbolize national pride and unity. Moreover, the cultural centers will host exhibitions showcasing the Kingdom’s rich heritage and history.
Last month the General Entertainment Authority (GEA) unveiled the theme for the occasion.

The slogan “We Dream, We Achieve” reflects the Kingdom’s transformative journey and highlights major projects under Saudi Vision 2030 for Saudi National Day.
Some of the projects featured in the design include THE LINE Project, the Sindalah Project and the Electric Car (CEER) Project.
