The Saudi Fashion Commission has on Thursday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Adidas to empower local talent, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
The MoU, signed in London, is part of the Saudi 100 Brands Initiative, a shared vision driving this collaboration, as the Commission’s efforts to foster innovation, develop talent, and boost local fashion drive the sector’s growth.
The partnership focuses on three key areas. These include fostering talents through training programs at Adidas, which target the Saudi 100 Brands Initiative’s designers.
Moreover, it focuses on research and development through joint cooperation. This has included launching a comprehensive research project to understand the evolving needs of Saudi customers, with a focus on women’s sportswear preferences, contributing to the “State of the Fashion Industry in Saudi Arabia 2024” report.
These insights will guide Adidas future visions and contribute to launching a 2025 joint collection for sportswear and modern lifestyle.
The partnership also prioritizes global partnerships, through collaboration with a selected group of Saudi designers.

Adidas, with the support of the Saudi Fashion Commission, will showcase the first official local collaboration during the Riyadh Fashion Week 2024, where Spring/Summer 2025 collection will make its debut.
The Saudi Fashion Commission plays a pivotal role in nurturing local talents and enhancing ties between global brands and the Saudi fashion industry.
As part of the Fashion Commission’s ongoing efforts to boost access to investments in the fashion sector, it organized an investment tour in London on September 17, coinciding with the conclusion of London Fashion Week.
It aimed to provide an opportunity for stakeholders in the fashion sector to investigate new investment opportunities, in addition to increasing the private sector’s involvement and contribution to the sector’s growth.
