The first edition of Red Sea Fashion Week kicks off today, Thursday, at the new St. Regis Red Sea Resort, reported Akhbaar 24.
An opening fashion show will inaugurate the three-day fashion week, followed by two days of side events and fashion shows featuring a collection of luxury fashion, jewelry, ready-to-wear, and resort fashion by Saudi and international designers.
Red Sea Fashion Week: Milestone in Saudi Fashion Industry
Red Sea Fashion Week is an important milestone in the Kingdom’s fashion industry and its access to the global market. It is in line with the goals of Vision 2030 to diversify economic fields and develop cultural sectors.
Through the Red Sea Fashion Week, the commission seeks to create a distinguished and dynamic platform that not only highlights the tremendous creativity and skill of Saudi Arabia, but also promotes its position as a major player on the global fashion stage, CEO of the Saudi Fashion Comission, Burak Çakmak, said.
The CEO added that this initiative mirrors the commission’s dedication to developing local talent and introducing it to the international arena, which is very much in line with the goals of the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 to enrich its cultural fabric and expand its economic horizons.
The event confirms Saudi Arabia’s commitment to establish itself as a center for luxury fashion and cultural exchange, by highlighting local talent and enhancing communications with global buyers and media.
The three-day fashion week is one of the Saudi Fashion Commission’s initiatives.
Red Sea Fashion Week, in its first edition, is part of the Kingdom’s journey to redefine the fashion scene and celebrate its diverse cultural heritage, by creating a dynamic fashion community with global appeal. The commission seeks to enhance the creative economy and position the Kingdom as a global destination for fashion and style.
