Flashback: The Kingdom has provided multiple financial packages to support Yemen‘s government.
- June 2026: Provided SAR 224 million in direct aid to cover critical public budget shortfalls and secure public sector salary payments.
- May 2026: Granted SAR 562.5 million in petroleum products to supply diesel and fuel oil required for power generation stations across multiple governorates.
- February 2026: Delivered an additional SAR 1.3 billion financial package dedicated to addressing public budget deficit and supporting public sector wages across Yemeni governorates.

Between the Lines: Saudi Arabia’s economic and developmental support for Yemen is channeled through the Saudi Program for Development and Reconstruction of Yemen (SDRPY). This support has taken the form of deposits and grants to the Yemeni Central Bank, as well as several projects and initiatives across the country.
