Manga Arabia and Zeez Animation are partnering to take Al-Saddad Adventures beyond the screen, turning the animated series into an exclusive manga experience.
The partnership signals a shared ambition to give local creative content, Saudi characters, and homegrown stories new ways to engage with wider audiences, illustrating how familiar narratives can find fresh life through several storytelling formats.
Al-Saddad Adventures moves beyond the screen
Remarkably, the collaboration was formalized at Manga Arabia’s headquarters in Riyadh, where its General Manager and Editor-in-Chief, Dr. Essam Bukhary, and Zeez Animation CEO Abdulaziz Mohammed Othman signed the agreement.
According to the deal, Manga Arabia will bring Al-Saddad Adventures to the page through 13 manga chapters inspired by the animated series, publishing them across its digital and print platforms.
The adaptation will provide audiences with an exclusive way to discover the story and its characters while opening the door to a wider reach across formats.
The collaboration also builds on Manga Arabia’s broader push to nurture the local creative content industry.
Taking Arab stories to the world
In recent years, the company has broadened its presence both within Saudi Arabia and internationally, guided by an advanced model that brings together print and digital storytelling.
Its apps have exceeded 13 million downloads across more than 190 countries, while its magazines have reached more than 22 million printed copies.
Manga Arabia has also introduced Arab and international productions in multiple languages and signed partnerships with pioneering global studios and publishers.
Meanwhile, its work has focused on cultivating the skills of creators, alongside developing and launching a vast array of Arab productions.
More than a publishing deal
For Bukhary, the deal is not simply a publishing agreement; it stands as a living testament to Manga Arabia’s approach to bring different sectors of the creative industries together, unlocking new potentials for local content.
As for the collaboration, it demonstrates the company’s commitment to creating new opportunities for Saudi productions and characters to grow and connect with wider audiences.
Bukhary also labeled Al-Saddad Adventures as an outstanding project with an ambitious local identity and the potential to move across multiple content formats.
Through the manga launch, Bukhary added, Manga Arabia seeks to offer audiences a richer way to experience the story while expanding the footprint of Saudi creative productions both locally and globally and supporting their continued growth and sustainability.
