Saudi Arabia: Peace Requires Ceasefire, Palestinian State Within 1967 Borders

Saudi Arabia emphasized that lasting peace in the region depends on an immediate ceasefire, preventing forced displacement, ensuring withdrawal from Gaza, and establishing an independent Palestinian state based on the 1967 borders.
The Kingdom expressed deep concern over the escalating situation, reiterating its condemnation of Israeli attacks on Palestine and Lebanon. In a statement delivered by its Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Dr. Abdulaziz Alwasil, Saudi Arabia also condemned Iranian attacks targeting civilian facilities and the resulting human and material losses.
Additionally, the Kingdom reaffirmed its firm rejection of any attempts to alter the historical and legal status of Jerusalem and its Islamic holy sites. It also denounced illegal settlement activities, stating that they violate international law and hinder efforts to achieve peace.
