
Saudi Arabia, represented by the General Authority for Survey and Geospatial Information (GEOSA), chaired the 13th meeting of the Arab Committee of Experts on Global Geospatial Information Management (UN-GGIM), held in Tunisia on February 3–4.
The meeting brought together representatives from Arab countries and the United Nations to coordinate efforts on regional geospatial governance. Discussions centered on the Global Geodetic Reference Frame and the Integrated Geospatial Information Framework (IGIF).

During the sessions, the Kingdom presented its geospatial maturity assessment, highlighting its advanced capabilities and leadership in the global geospatial sector. Iraq and Tunisia also shared updates on their national plans for implementing the IGIF.
The meeting concluded with a call from Saudi Arabia to enhance regional cooperation and promote data-driven decision-making through a unified Arab geospatial infrastructure.
