HRC, UN Wrap Up Training of Trainers Program on Anti-Torture Convention in Riyadh

The Human Rights Commission (HRC), working alongside the United Nations Office of the High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR), has wrapped up a five-day Training of Trainers program in Riyadh focused on the International Convention against Torture. The program was attended by HRC President Dr. Hala Al-Tuwaijri and UN Resident Coordinator in Saudi Arabia Mohamed Zarkani.

Dr. Al-Tuwaijri explained that the initiative was designed to build national expertise by equipping staff from various government bodies with the skills needed to conduct future training sessions. Emphasizing the practical implementation of international human rights standards, the program aims to ensure lasting knowledge transfer and enhance the institutional capabilities of participating organizations.
