Saudi Arabia has unveiled the largest global Quranic enrichment project during this year’s Hajj 2025 season at the Prophet’s Mosque. This groundbreaking initiative, launched by the Agency for Religious Affairs, combines traditional Islamic teachings with cutting-edge technology to deepen engagement with the Holy Quran.
The project serves as a beacon of science and faith, integrating guidance, recitation, contemplation, education, mastery, and Tajweed. Sheikh Dr. Abdulrahman bin Abdulaziz Al-Sudais, President of Religious Affairs for the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque, emphasized its goal to strengthen the connection between pilgrims, visitors, and the global Muslim Ummah with the Quran. He stated, “This initiative aims to instill the Quran’s moderate teachings in humanity while fostering a deeper spiritual connection.”
Enrichment Tracks and Digital Innovation
The initiative features multiple enrichment tracks, including support for Quran memorization circles and scholarly writings. A key highlight is the introduction of a global digital platform for Quranic education, which ensures authenticity and adherence to established methodologies. This platform leverages artificial intelligence to provide comprehensive content in recitation, Tajweed, and memorization.
The platform operates under the supervision of highly qualified teachers and offers a stimulating educational environment. It also includes a robust administrative system for monitoring performance, issuing analytical reports, and granting accredited Quranic certificates.
Aligning with Vision 2030
This Quranic enrichment project aligns with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, which seeks to position the Kingdom as a global leader in religious and cultural initiatives. By combining tradition with innovation, the project promotes peace, moderation, and education, reflecting the Kingdom’s commitment to fostering a balanced and value-driven society.
The launch of this initiative marks a significant milestone in global Quranic education. It not only enhances the spiritual journey of Hajj pilgrims but also underscores Saudi Arabia’s dedication to preserving Islamic heritage while embracing modern technology. Through this project, the Kingdom continues to lead efforts in making sacred knowledge accessible, inclusive, and impactful for Muslims worldwide.
