Passports Directorate Launch Abshar Travel for Easier Travel

The General Directorate of Passports recently introduced an improved “Absher Travel” service. This version simplifies crossing the King Fahd Causeway.

Now, travelers can settle bridge fees and ensure their vehicles in advance. This update comes through collaboration with various Saudi authorities including SDAIA, and the Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority. It also involves the General Authority for the King Fahd Causeway.

Advantages of Absher Travel

This service marks a significant step in digitizing passport-related processes. It aims at enhancing the living standards of both citizens and residents. The main benefit is the reduced time and hassle at the causeway. Specifically, it introduces special lanes for automated vehicle checks via the Absher app. It also integrates location checks through the “Nafath” application, streamlining entry and exit.

Digital Transformation, Public Convenience

The upgrade reflects the government’s commitment to leveraging technology for public benefit. By integrating digital solutions, the “Absher Travel” service makes traveling more efficient. It’s a part of broader efforts to enhance the digital infrastructure and services across the kingdom.

Optional Service for Enhanced Travel Experience

It’s important to note that utilizing this service is not mandatory. It’s available to any citizen or resident with an active “Absher” account. This flexibility ensures that individuals can choose the travel processes that best suit their needs.

Easy Access to “Absher Travel”

To use this service, simply log into the Absher app on any smart device. Under “My Services,” find “Other Services,” then select “Absher Travel.” From there, users can easily initiate a travel request. This straightforward process is designed to make travel preparations as convenient as possible.

The launch of the upgraded “Absher Travel” service is a milestone in improving the travel experience via the King Fahd Causeway. By offering advanced features for pre-travel arrangements and automated checks, it significantly contributes to a smoother journey for all travelers.
