Jaawazat facilitates the issuance of Saudi electronic passports via Absher

The Saudi General Directorate of Passports (Jawazat) has started the third phase of issuing the Saudi electronic passport.

 The directorate made it possible to issue the electronic passport to all citizens through the Absher platform.

It explained that a citizen can issue his electronic passport or his dependents by submitting a request to issue an electronic passport through the services of family members. This request can be made on the Absher platform.

In accordance with the directorate, a national identity document is a prerequisite for passports issued to persons aged (10) or older.

The “Jawazat” called for taking advantage of the electronic services provided through the Absher platform.

According to Absher, passports will be sent to addresses registered on the Absher platform via the available shipping method (the postal carrier).

According to “Jawazat,” it is essential to maintain travel documents inside and outside the Kingdom and to avoid mortgaging them, neglecting them, or placing them in places that are unsafe.
