KSIADC Joins Forces with ewpartners to Launch Special Economic Zone for E-commerce, Logistics

King Salman International Airport Development Company (KSIADC) has signed a memorandum of understanding with ewpartners to establish a promising center enhancing Saudi-Chinese logistical ties.

According to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the partnership basically aims to leverage the Kingdom’s strategic location as a global logistics hub linking three continents.

ewpartners, formerly known as eWTP Arabia Capital, is an international private equity firm based on strategic alliances with exceptional companies and cross-border investment initiatives.

Special Economic Zone

Both entities will explore the establishment of an e-commerce and logistics special economic zone within King Salman International Airport (KSIA).

“This partnership marks a significant step in achieving our vision to establish King Salman International Airport as a leading logistics hub serving regional and global logistics companies and supporting Saudi Arabia’s trade expansion. By partnering with ewpartners, we are poised to enhance our logistics infrastructure, boost efficiency, and create new opportunities for economic growth in Saudi Arabia and the region,” Acting CEO of KSIADC Marco Mejia said.

In line with Saudi Vision 2030, the new zone represents one of the promising initiatives launched by the Ministry of Transport and Logistics Services, to boost supply chains and facilitate investment and trade.

Thus, the center will further consolidate KSIA’s position as a global logistics center through the significant progress of the efficiency and distribution capabilities at the regional and international levels.

Founder and Managing Partner of ewpartners Jerry Li explained that KSIA’s unique location, which connects Asia, Africa and Europe, will unleash new horizons for growth and innovation in the logistics and e-commerce sectors in the Kingdom.
