Princess Reema Commends Noof Al-Otaishan, 1st Saudi Diplomat in UNGA President’s Office

Princess Reema bint Bandar bin Sultan, the Saudi Ambassador to the United States, congratulated Noof Al-Otaishan for becoming the first Saudi diplomat to serve in the Office of the President of the United Nations General Assembly during its seventy-ninth session.

Princess Reema expressed her immense pride in this achievement through her social media platforms, praising Noof’s role in representing the Kingdom with great competence. Additionally, the Princess  shared a photo of  Al-Otaishan and the President of the United Nations General Assembly, emphasizing that Noof’s presence in this position is a milestone for Saudi women on the international diplomatic stage.

 

 

As part of this empowerment, Noof Alotaishan’s achievement stands out as the first Saudi diplomat to work in the Office of the President of the United Nations General Assembly in its 79th session, serving as a living example of Saudi willpower and determination in realizing ambitions.

The journey that Alotaishan undertook to achieve this remarkable accomplishment was filled with challenges, but her determination and commitment to excellence enabled her to obtain prestigious academic qualifications.

Academic and Professional Path

Noof Alotaishan’s academic qualifications include a Master’s degree in International Law and Politics from Keele University, one of the leading universities in the UK, after obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Law from Prince Mohammad Bin Fahd University in Khobar. In addition, she has earned numerous licenses, certifications, and completed various courses, most notably in business, international relations, and political economy from The London School of Economics and Political Science. She has also focused on developing her skills in various fields, including strategic thinking, understanding information architecture, business analysis and recruitment, and vision-driven leadership.

Inspiring Saudi Talent

Noof Alotaishan possesses outstanding professional experience, particularly in matters related to the Security Council. Before joining the Political, Peace, and Security Affairs team at the United Nations office earlier this month, she served as a diplomat for over two years at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Saudi Arabia. Additionally, she has academic experience, having worked as a lecturer for a year, teaching public law courses at Al-Asala Colleges in addition to her experience as a legal researcher.
