Saudi Minister of Health Fahad bin Abdurrahman Al-Jalajel represented the Kingdom at the 77th session of the World Health Assembly (WHA77) held at the United Nations headquarters in Geneva, reported Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Themed “All for Health, Health for All,” the WHA77 represented a valuable platform gathering health ministers from the member states of the World Health Organization (WHO).
The event will include several meetings and discussions that basically revolve around the WHO investment round and the fourteenth draft of the general program of work.
Furthermore, the meetings’ agenda include advanced amendments to the International Health Regulations and negotiations by the Intergovernmental Negotiating Body on an agreement regarding pandemic prevention, preparedness, and response.
Al-Jalajel met with his Singaporean Counterpart, Ong Ye Kung, on the sidelines of the session. Both ministers discussed new avenues to enhance health cooperation and achieve welfare in their countries.

On the sidelines of the event, the Saudi Minister also met with his French Counterpart, Frederic Valletoux, to review the friendly and cooperative relations between both countries.
