The Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, in partnership with the National Council for Occupational Safety and Health, has announced the conclusion of its three-month ban on working under direct sunlight. The regulation, in effect from June 15 to September 15 between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m., applied to all establishments nationwide.
The ministry said the decision underscores its commitment to protecting workers and maintaining safe, healthy workplaces in line with occupational standards and best practices.

Throughout the ban, the ministry carried out intensive field inspections across the Kingdom to ensure compliance. This year, 94% of establishments followed the rules, with 29,121 inspections conducted and several monitoring campaigns completed. Moreover, authorities recorded 2,414 violations and responded to 325 public reports.
In parallel, the council ran a wide-reaching awareness campaign, sharing educational content and guidance through social media to remind employers and workers about the ban and preventive safety measures.
