
Al Arabiya reported that the draft statement of the Gulf summit included a directive for the Joint Defense Council to hold an urgent meeting in the Qatari capital, Doha, as part of strengthening Gulf solidarity with Qatar.
The statement calls on all countries and international organizations to condemn the Israeli attack on Qatar and includes a demand for the international community to take firm measures to stop Israeli violations, in addition to activating joint defense mechanisms and Gulf deterrent capabilities.

The draft statement affirmed full solidarity with Qatar in all measures aimed at confronting the Israeli attack, while pointing out the condemnation of the blatant violation of the sovereignty of the Gulf state.
The leaders and heads of delegations of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries held an extraordinary session of the GCC Supreme Council today, Monday, in the Qatari capital, Doha, according to the official UAE news agency WAM.
During the meeting, a number of topics on the agenda of the extraordinary session of the council were reviewed.
