Riyadh hosts the 42nd Gulf Summit today

leaders of the six Gulf Cooperation Council countries will gather at Diriyah Palace, north of Riyadh, for the 42nd Gulf Summit, which will be chaired by the Kingdom and attended by the leaders of the six Gulf Cooperation Council countries.

According to Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, the summit is taking place at a critical juncture, as the region faces numerous problems while also benefiting from numerous opportunities.

In a previous news conference two days earlier, the minister also stated that the leaders will discuss difficult topics related to regional security, with a focus on the future, and how to strengthen cooperation, particularly in the development and economic fields.

Improve Collaboration

The Gulf Cooperation Council’s Secretary-General, Nayef Al-Hajraf, stated that the summit will seek to improve the process of cooperation in all spheres and to meet the aspirations of the GCC countries’ citizens.
