The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet’s Mosque has announced free luggage storage services for Umrah pilgrims in Makkah.

These storage facilities are conveniently located to the east of the Grand Mosque near the Makkah Library and to the west near Gate 64. To access the service, pilgrims must present their permits via the Nusuk app, according to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).

The facilities accept bags weighing up to 7 kilograms, but not loose items. Items such as valuables, prohibited goods, food, and medicine are not allowed. Bags can be stored for a maximum duration of four hours, and a claim ticket is required for retrieval.
The authority also plans to expand the service to cover all areas surrounding the Grand Mosque, enhancing convenience for visitors, SPA reported.
