King Salman Approves Hosting 1,000 Umrah Pilgrims from 66 Countries

Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud has approved hosting 1,000 Umrah pilgrims from 66 countries. This initiative will be carried out in four groups throughout 1446 AH under the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques’ Guest Program. The program, supervised by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah, and Guidance, aims to provide pilgrims with a comfortable and enriching experience.

Ministry’s Commitment to Pilgrims’ Welfare

Minister of Islamic Affairs, Sheikh Dr. Abdullatif Al-Sheikh, expressed deep gratitude to King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He emphasized their commitment to ensuring Muslims worldwide have the opportunity to perform Islamic rituals with ease and comfort. “This hosting extends the leadership’s support for Islam and Muslims,” he said, adding that it strengthens ties with Islamic scholars and influential figures globally.

Since its launch, the program has supported over 140 countries across multiple continents. It ensures that pilgrims receive high-quality services, starting from their departure until their safe return home. This extensive outreach highlights Saudi Arabia’s commitment to enriching the spiritual journeys of Muslims worldwide.

Exceptional Services and Spiritual Engagement

The ministry has devoted all necessary resources to executing this royal directive. Guests will perform Umrah rituals and visit historical landmarks in Makkah and Madinah. They will also meet with scholars and imams of the Two Holy Mosques.

Dr. Al-Sheikh praised the continued support enabling the ministry to carry out the program effectively. The initiative not only serves pilgrims but also promotes Islamic unity and counters extremism, aligning with the noble goals of Saudi leadership.

Concluding his statement, Dr. Al-Sheikh prayed for King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman. He expressed hopes for the pilgrims’ safe return and for the continued security and stability of Saudi Arabia.
