Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) is hosting a United Nations Future Action Days virtual side event tomorrow, September 20, from 3 to 5 PM, reported the Saudi Press Agency (SPA).
Titled “Youth Empowerment and Development in the Civil Aviation Sector,” the event marks GACA’s first official participation in a United Nations event concentrating on a crucial topic: youth engagement in civil aviation.
In collaboration with the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and the International Air Transport Association (IATA), the virtual session will serve as a platform to discuss the major human resources challenges in aviation, boost international cooperation, and explore career development opportunities for future generations.
The virtual session will bring together representatives from academia, industry, government, international organizations and young professionals in the aviation sector, to share best practices, ideas and innovative solutions to ensure the sustainable growth of the sector.
The event also stands as a golden opportunity to launch new collaborative initiatives aimed at building globally competitive and future-ready aviation workforce.
GACA will showcase its programs and initiatives to localize jobs in the aviation industry and empower Saudi youth, providing them with various opportunities to work in numerous fields within aviation, such as leadership, technical, administrative, or operational positions.
